PENTECOST

This Sunday May 28th is Pentecost. If you are able, please wear RED.

                              RENEWAL

Our theme for the summer is Renewal. During the month of June, our Wednesday night events will be focused on both fun and fellowship, as well as renewing our relationship with Jesus Christ.

The kickoff will be Renewal Sunday on June 4. We will have a combined worship at 10 AM in the sanctuary, followed by a potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring your favorite side dish! Afterwards we’ll have a time of singing, prayer and renewal in the sanctuary.

The Well

is a small group conversation that explores the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly environment. It’s a safe place to connect with people, where you can say & ask anything or nothing at all. Everyone’s welcome, no matter your background or beliefs.

 

Here is the big invitation: find one person you know…a friend, coworker, or family member…who could benefit from this kind of environment and invite them to come! The Well meets on Sundays at 6:30 in our Mission House.

YOU HELPED US REACH OUR GOAL!  THANK YOU!

With your generous support of our Vidalia Onion fundraiser, we were able to raise $817.50!!  Along with the money we’ve been saving up over the past few years, we’ve now reached our mission goal of being able to purchase a well in Africa, so families can have access to clean drinking water.  A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who bought onions, sold onions, and helped in any other way!  We appreciate our church family so much!

VBS will be July 10 – 13th. We will need lots of volunteers, so if you can help in any way, please sign up with the QR code on the flyer attached. Also,  is a QR code to scan to sign children up. So go ahead and make plans and sign them up. If you have any questions, please see Peyton!

Journey Through Romans

We have started a 16-week journey through Paul’s letter to the Romans. You’re invited to read through Romans yourself with our daily reading guide (found here) https://drive.google.com/file/d/19n8Eg3Mv8mjcO3PPNCqoWOUaajlheu73/view.  If you engage with this letter, God will speak to you and your spiritual life will be changed!

MISSION MINISTRIES NEEDS

MISSION HOUSE – Food – Canned meats, canned vegetables, fruit cups, soups, powdered milk,

peanut butter.

Linens – Sheets of all sizes, Comforters, bedspreads, towels

Girl’s clothes – sizes 8 and up

Boy’s clothes – sizes 10 and up

Kitchen items – pots and pans, cooking utensils, flatware (does not have to be complete set), blender, microwave or hot plate

Medical equipment – wheelchairs, knee braces

 

 

ACTS – 2 lb. bags of cornmeal and flour. Place it in the collection bin in the fellowship hall.
