Sunday School at FUMC
Sunday mornings – 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Sunday School is a wonderful time to fellowship with our church brothers and sisters within a context of deeper spiritual focus and study. If you do not currently have a Sunday School class you are regularly attending, FUMC has many options for you to try: there is a place for you to belong!
Children’s Sunday School
pre-K to 2nd grade - Beach Room (rm. 102)
3rd and 4th grade - Fish Room (rm. 103)
5th - 8th grade - LAMP Room (rm. 301)
Adult Sunday School
Allen Cowan Class (rm. 306) – Composed of adults in their 40s onwards, members of this class present weekly lessons from the Bible for study and discussion. They provide great support to one another and participate in a number of regular service and ministry projects.
Julia Burton Class (rm. 305) – A warm, welcoming fellowship of believers, class members use church literature as the basis of their lessons, through which they delve deeply into the Word each week. They also support the church’s ministries and care for one another.
The Misfits (rm. 303) – An ideal class for those with interrupted or irregular schedules, the Misfits class often discusses Christian perspectives on contemporary world topics.
Dora Wendel Class (chapel, rm. 201) – This caring group of senior ladies studies a weekly Sunday School lesson presented by a rotating series of speakers from outside the class. Discussion and fellowship follow.
Men’s Class (rm. 202) – The Merton Robertson class is an adult male class dedicated to learning about the Scriptures in a group setting, with a spirited discussion of the assigned Scripture each week. They also find ample time for fellowship and talk about all things of interest to men!
*Youth meet on Sunday evenings at 5 p.m. in the Youth Room (rm. 304)*
